Cooper guest casts judgment on Sparkman case

“We’re being very cautious about what we’re reporting on this and what we’re saying,” said Anderson Cooper on Friday night about the death of U.S. Census worker Bill Sparkman.  Only here’s the thing: He’s not being cautious at all. In fact, he allowed a guest to ramble on for two minutes about the probably that the gruesome deed was done by an anti-government extremist; a conclusion that is looking increasingly unlikely, by the way.

Politico Looks Into the Right’s Successful Attacks

Divide between right, mainstream media: “The right-wing media’s single-minded focus on a handful of targets over the past months and its success in pushing those stories into the mainstream have underscored the sharp divide between traditional news organizations and the bloggers and talk show hosts aggressively pursuing an ideological agenda on-line and on TV and radio.”

CNN: Network of Democrat Viewers

CNN has done what it can to market itself as the middle-of-the-road cable network; not “rightwing” like Fox News, not “leftwing” like MSNBC. No Bias, No Bull and all that.
