WaPo editorial writer gives Alan Grayson a pass

Remember how angry the press got over Sarah Palin’s “death panels” and Rep. Joe Wilson’s verbal outburst? Well, don’t expect a similar outpouring of indignation over Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson’s assertion on the House floor that the Republican health plan is for people to “die quickly.” You see, Grayson’s comments were funny (he was just joking, you know!) and besides, no one has ever heard of him.
The most distressing section of the appended video is the clip in which Washington Post editorial writer Jonathan Capehardt voluntarily raises his hand when host Mika Brzezinski asks who is giving him a pass:

Of course. The rules are different for Democrats. I’m sure the dinosaur media gurus can explain it.
If this was on Leno?? Geesh.
However, it wasn’t…. so Capehardt’s just another idiot with a poor excuse (but, but, but…)
So… are Democrats in favor of people getting sick, and in favor of people suffering long, protracted demises?
No-one I know relishes the prospects of getting sick and suffering a long, painful decline before death.
Just sayin’.
He was joking? I’m hoping that is sarcasm I see. Because that video obviously is showing an angry prat.
Democrats want Americans to die slowly and painfully.
I would have probably been outraged at Jonathan Capehardt too, then I realized that not only had I never heard of Grayson, I hadn’t heard of Capehardt.
Who cares. These guys are nobodies.
Democrats believe in aborting the unborn who are about to come into the world with serious medical problems like Downs Syndrome (remember the outrage of the Palins’ refusal to abort Trig Palin?). Those who believe in ending the lives of the aged in assisted suicide before they too become very expensive are also, mostly, Democrats.
There’s real world evidence that somebody out there wants you to die quickly. It’s not who Rep. Grayson says it is though.
Grayson’s “die quickly” comment was NOTHING, compared to what he said the very next day:
“iting a Harvard University study released this month that said 44,000 Americans die each year because they have no health insurance, Grayson called on Democrats and Republicans “to do our jobs for the sake of those dying people and their families.”
“I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven’t voted sooner to end this holocaust in America,” he said.

Got that? Republicans are committing a HOLOCAUST,which I guess means they’re worse than Hitler.
My initial thought was “too quickly? what’s quicker than abortion?”
...but that’s a whole other can of worms.
@malcave…
not true amigo, I hear they want to give you a little pill… so they actually just want you to die drugged out of your mind. Unless of course they meant many sleeping pills chased with a 1/5th of vodka, then of course that would be quickly
However, what if you’re on a feeding tube?
Terri Schaivo must be rolling over in her gr…
.... oooh, was that in poor taste?
I’m sorry, it’s just hard to take this Obama guy seriously when he deeply regrets, not the allowing of Terri Schiavo from being killed slowly, but instead regrets not standing up and stopping congress from getting involved in the case in the first place. It’s official… the man has no sack.
He could have just said in that clip “I regret not having a sack then, and standing up and saying ‘I have no sack, let’s move on, nothing to see here’”
