Cooper guest casts judgment on Sparkman case

“We’re being very cautious about what we’re reporting on this and what we’re saying,” said Anderson Cooper on Friday night about the death of U.S. Census worker Bill Sparkman. Only here’s the thing: He’s not being cautious at all. In fact, he allowed a guest to ramble on for two minutes about the probably that the gruesome deed was done by an anti-government extremist; a conclusion that is looking increasingly unlikely, by the way.

What kind of analysis did Cooper expect from a guy who runs something called the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism?

You should try watching MSNBC sometime Hynsey… they were even worse. Maddow rambled on for an hour about how it may if been some anti-government right winger, assuring her audience they were on top of the story and able to announce the moment said right winger was captured… much in the same way she spent her week honoring the abortion doctor who was killed.

She must have been hoping for another moment like that. Probably needs something to talk about. You run out of stories when you’re busy ignoring the actual news of the day, seeing how it may hinder the reputation of the chosen one.
