Regardless of the legal snake pit and the arguments that will go on forever about what lines might have been crossed, or might not have been crossed, I find it interesting that Dick Cheney, rather than al-Qaeda, is the primary focus of anger for a large number of tunnel-vision leftists.
And also, without trying to decide the legal issues, it might be interesting to hear those same Get Cheney Leftists honestly explain what motives the prior administration had for using those interrogation techniques. I suppose it couldn’t have been to try to keep the nation safe, could it? No, it must have been part of a Bush-Cheney plot to… to… er… do something really, really evil so they could… something or another. Yes, that must have been it.
Ah, phooey. This is too hard. Let’s just chant (with appropriate sneering) “CHENEY! HALLIBURTON! BLOOD FOR OIL! BUUUUUUSH!” That should work. And it’s easy.
