Larry King Features Chris Brown - Why?
Flipping through cable news channels, I landed on Larry King talking to Chris Brown. It struck me that with the rampant violence against women in every corner of the world, there had to be 100 more important and more compelling stories of survival and heroism, of women who have been subjected to the worst abuse and survived with strength and dignity. Why give Brown’s P.R. team a platform for damage control and image rehabilitation? Why waste air time? Why not give attention to those who deserve it most? Why not raise awareness about the ongoing travesty described by Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and Gordon Brown...

CNN Panelists Give Obama Significantly Higher Marks than Public
The majority of CNN panelists awarded the Obama administration significantly higher marks than the general public on its “CNN National Report Card: Second 100 Days,” according to my analysis. The analysis might serve to challenge CNN’s marketing posture that they are a middle of the road, independent cable news outlet.

Incredibly, CNN.com Features MJ ... Again
Last week I joked that CNN.com was going to be renamed MJ.com. Here we are, almost a month and a half after Jackson’s death, and CNN determines that there are no bigger issues to highlight on their homepage…

CNN: “Report Has Good News about Jobs”
The readers of Hotair.com caught some flagrant pro-Obama boosterism going on at CNN. Glenn Reynolds thinks they may be just angling for an invitation to next year’s July 4th party.
Meanwhile, others at CNN are fantasizing about a one-on-one hoops game between President Obama and George Clooney. Sigh. It really would be terrific if these people could cover the news and leave their chumminess with the president and personal enthusiasm for his leisure time at the door.

She’s Pregnant, She’s under Investigation, She’s Crazy, She’s having an Affair …
Let us hope that when the dust settles in the case of Sarah Palin’s resignation as Governor of Alaska that the people who openly speculated about her departure are held to account. I’m thinking specifically of CNN’s Rick Sanchez who speculated that she is pregnant as well as the gang at MSNBC, who openly speculated that she is under criminal investigation.
